CITROËN REINVENTS AMI AT THE PARIS MOTOR SHOW WITH NEW DESIGN & BUGGY VISION

Citroën's Ami 100% ëlectric celebrates four years on the market at the Paris Motor Show 2024 with two world premieres. New Ami, on sale in 2025, will make its global debut at the Paris Motor Show. Ami Buggy Vision introduces a stylish and adventurous design, ready to tackle the roads and make water sports easier.

Ami's presence at the Paris show also brings together several Ami models: Ami Peps, Ami for All and Ami Rose Festival.

Citroën Ami is celebrating its fourth birthday this year. Since its launch in 2020, it has attracted over 65,000 customers, offering an affordable and innovative electric mobility solution. The next-generation Ami is set to go on sale in 2025 with a new front-end design. Additionally, an adventurous variant called the Ami Buggy Vision concept, dedicated to nautical leisure activities, has been imagined by the designers.

The 2025 version of Ami revealed in Paris

In the first half of 2025, a new generation of Ami will be introduced. The next-generation Ami 100% ëlectric will maintain the same dimensions as the current Ami but will have a new front and rear fascia with sharper lines, a new logo, and a more personalized appearance. The front end will have a simpler design with a new logo and a stronger, more sculpted style for the bumper. The design will maintain symmetry and feature nods to the iconic 2CV. Additionally, the side of the Ami will showcase graphic signatures, such as checkerboard-patterned wheel trims.

World premiere for Ami Buggy Vision concept

Ami 2025 is showcased with the Ami Buggy Vision, a free styling exercise. The body-built edition of Ami features kite surfing theme, no doors, and a sunroof. It's practical, functional, and 100% electric, perfect for outdoor activities. The midnight blue body color and white roof give it a refined yet adventurous character. Specific tires, wheel arch protectors, and yellow headlamps enhance its outdoor spirit. The vehicle includes a hook on the doors for fitting a Kite Surfboard and a special luggage compartment for storing the kite sail. The interior features enhanced comfort with new seat cushions and an 'Infrared' orange-red color on the dashboard.

Ami Tower

Ami Tower, nearly six meters high, will showcase three versions of Ami and symbolize the diversity of the model.

The models on display in Ami Tower are :

• My Ami for All: An initiative to give mobility back to people with disabilities. This adapted version is aimed at people with reduced mobility who have lost the use of one or both of their lower limbs and incorporates functional mechanical adaptations that allow them to access the vehicle, stow their wheelchair and drive with ease.
• My Ami Rose Festival: Designed as part of the collaboration with the famous duo BigFlo and Oli, this version of Ami has been specially decorated to take part in the Rose Festival.The Rose Festival was born in 2022 out of Bigflo and Oli's desire to create an innovative, multi-faceted cultural festival with a long-term presence in Toulouse. The Rose Festival also has a strong associative component, thanks to the creation of the Rose Association, which has three main missions: the artistic development of young talent, cultural mediation with school projects and access to culture for the disadvantaged. This social commitment fits in well with the values that Citroën wishes to promote with the Citroën Ami.
• My Ami Pep: A dynamic version of Ami that validates the new ‘Night Sepia’ colour. With a mischievous play on the look of a sporty little car ready to weave its way through traffic, it features dedicated stickers, a rear spoiler and wheel trims in a floral design with white decoration. These high-contrast design elements are complemented by bright colours such as the energetic ‘Infrared’ red and a vibrant yellow. Inside My Ami Peps, users will find a full range of standard equipment to make everyday life easier, including functional accessories such as a smartphone clip, door nets with an orange stripe, a central partition net, a yellow bag hook and three orange storage bins. For infotainment, it offers the ‘My Ami Play’ interface, which turns your smartphone into a dashboard with quick access to navigation, music, radio or phone calls. All these functions are controlled remotely by the Citroën Switch button on the steering wheel, so you can keep your eyes on the road and drive in complete peace of mind and safety.
