The All-New electric Nissan MICRA has received Green NCAP’s highest Sustainability Rating of five stars and is available to view and test drive at Bassetts Nissan Swansea.

Green NCAP is an independent environmental assessment programme. Unlike many tests, it looks at a car across its full life cycle - production, use and end of life - as well as air quality, energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions. A five-star result is reserved for what Green NCAP describes as very good electric vehicles.
For customers in Swansea and South Wales, that’s useful reassurance. The MICRA is a compact electric car that still posts elite efficiency figures: up to 4.38 miles per kWh, regenerative braking and Nissan’s e-Pedal for everyday driving.
The sixth-generation MICRA is the first fully electric version of the nameplate. It measures under four metres long and less than 1.8 metres wide, so it’s straightforward to park and drive on tighter streets, while still offering enough range for trips beyond the city.
Two batteries are available. The 40kWh version offers up to 196 miles of WLTP range and DC charging up to 80kW. The 52kWh version offers up to 257 miles and DC charging up to 100kW. Figures depend on specification. Inside, NissanConnect with Google built-in can plan routes that include charging stops.
The exterior was created at Nissan Design Europe in London. Pronounced wheel arches and signature lighting give it a clear Nissan character, building on five previous generations of MICRA. It is produced at the Ampere ElectriCity plant in Douai, France, on the AmpR Small platform, developed through the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance while keeping a distinct Nissan look and feel.2
