Well this year we were proud to enter Bassetts United into the  Charity Fund Raising Jumpers for Goalposts. This year we managed to get to the semi finals but like Euro 2012 we ended up at penalties.

Following huge cries for goal line technology we went out. Maybe next year we will lift the cup !!!

Congratulations to Molly Fox who succesfully completed the London Marathon in 5hrs 42minutes, becoming the youngest ever female to complete the race at only 18years and 4 days old.

Bassetts were happy to support Mollys charity the Multiple Sclerosis Society and donated £1000.

At Bassetts we were proud to host Citroen UK who were producing a video for the National Dealer Conference in late Jan. The day consisted of filming the Mumbles U13 RFC who we are proud sponsors of with their fixture with Waunarlwydd RFC.

Then a return to dealership with filming of vehicles including a new limited edition DS3 and some interviews on what we at Bassetts feel about the importance of Public Relations and Marketing.

We will post the finished film once it has been edited ? Will the try scored by Mumbles RFC make the final cut with Arsenal at the Emirates in the final feature !

The award means a second year of success for Citroën. In 2010, Citroën DS3 won both TopGear magazine’s
‘Small Car of the Year’ and overall ‘Car of the Year’ accolades.

Bassetts Citroen Swansea were pleased to be able to launch the Annual Aegon Team Tennis Tournament for Swansea Lawn and Tennis Club.  The under 8s were on site to be presented with their indivual kits which will be worn at the tournament.

The club then had a unique game of short tennis using Citroens award winning DS3 as a net. Top Gear Car of the Year 2010. The unders 8s will be playing across South Wales in this tournament , 1^st game being held at Ashley road sat 17^th April  2011 at 10:00 Abergaveny vs Swansea, spectators/supporters welcome. The following stages of tournmanent see them matched against teams from Cwmbran and two  teams from Cardiff.

On 3rd March 2011 Bassetts Citroen Swansea was officially opened by Citroen UK Directors , Linda Jackson Managing Director, Charles Peugeot Sales Director and Sally Smith After Sales Director. The Directors were welcomed by Bassetts own Mangement team Huw Francis, Paul Nelson, Neil Mccarley, Neil Cotton, Sam Thomas and Lorna Williams.

We are now looking forward to the future in our new home.

Not only have we managed to open our new site in 2 months and 2 weeks from purchase, but our team have put in a fabulous performance and achieved the position of Number 2 in the dealer top 100. See the before and after pictures of our recent In Citroen feature.

Our existing Citroen dealership will undergoe refurbishment from december ready to proudly represent the fabulous Nissan brand at the begining of 2011.
