Great News, How many vehicles have won the Car Of Year accolade before being launched ! The New DS5 has been crowned Top Gear Family Car of the Year.

Some say, Citroën’s New DS5 is refined, luxurious, uniquely-styled and dramatic. Well, for the second year in a
row,  TopGear magazine has made Citroën a top choice, naming DS5 their ‘Family Car of the Year’ in the publication’s 2011 awards.
The family-sized DS5, which combines distinctive style with creative technology and takes design inspiration from
the world of aviation, saw off tough competition from already established models to take the best family car title.
TopGear magazine said; “DS5 is a well-grounded, slick, futuristic machine, both inside and out. The inside is
quirky but rational, exciting but functional and put together with considerable care, just like the rest of the car.
And that makes it very pleasing indeed. All of which goes to show that because the DS5 isn’t a half-hearted
copy of a German saloon, it’s the better for it.”

The award means a second year of success for Citroën. In 2010, Citroën DS3 won both TopGear magazine’s
‘Small Car of the Year’ and overall ‘Car of the Year’ accolades.

The Citroën DS4 has been voted 'Most Beautiful Car of the Year" at the 26th annual International Automobile Festival in a poll of web users from 62 countries.

The well-received compact got the thumbs-up from more than 60,000 internet users from across the globe, beating the BMW 5-Series, Renault Wind and the Honda CR-Z in the process.

Alongside the recognition from the general public, a small jury of just 45 awarded the DS4 the "Most Beautiful Interior" prize, solidifying its design credentials even further.

Originally unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October 2010, the DS4 is not due to go on sale till the latter half of 2011 in the UK, but is sure to be a hit with punters when it finally arrives.

Citroën is unleashing a hot new DS3 - the limited edition 200hp DS3 Racing.

Developed by Citroën Racing - the winning team behind five WRC manufacturer’s titles and six driver’s titles for Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena - DS3 Racing is a special edition with a 100% sporting pedigree.  Planned for the second half of 2010, the exclusive DS3 Racing will be limited to just 1000 production units.

With integrated carbon-trimmed components and specialist motorsports equipment, DS3 Racing’s tuned and turbo-charged 1.6-litre THP 150 engine develops 200hp - a power increase of almost 30% over the standard unit - with a torque increase of 15% from 240Nm to 275NmThe 200 units available are available for preorder for expected June 2011 delivery.
